Bridges to Learning is a Minnesota nonprofit organization that provides education, health and social development programs to empower impoverished Vietnamese children to change their world. As a Board Member, I help out at charity and fundraising events, as well as help manage the organization’s social media presence on Facebook and Instagram.
As an ESL Teacher, I help develop students' communicative skills in personal and professional situations. Through scenarios, debates and various speaking activities, I work to improve students' basic English skills which are reading, writing, listening and speaking. From time-to-time I also serve as a guest speaker and judge for various events on the university campus including business forums and speaking competitions
Through the PVI program, I served as a volunteer in Mandeville, Jamaica in several different aspects. I volunteered in a pre-school, nursing home, infirmary, and clinic. My role was to provide accompaniment to those in the communities that I was assigned.

On November 21, 2019, I served as a judge for the English and Japanese drama competition held at Changzhou University Xitaihu Lake Campus. Since Chinese students were presenting their skits in a language that was not their first language, they faced a challenging experience. Nevertheless, all the groups did an excellent job.
On December 20, 2019, I had the honor of speaking at the International Symposium on "Digital Transformation and International Reconstruction" sponsored by the Business School of Changzhou University. My presentation focused on highlighting the differences between Chinese and western marketing, specifically in America. In addition, I discussed the increase of social media on a global level and the importance for a business to have a substantial social media presence. There were over a hundred students and teachers from the business department who attended, as well as the vice-president of the university.
